17th Annual Fall Golf Classic
to benefit The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center
Central Maine Medical Center will host the 17th Annual Fall Golf Classic at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Maine on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Last year we raised over $100,000.00 to benefit The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at CMMC.
Patrick Dempsey of Grey's Anatomy shares that his awakening to the realities of cancer began in 1997 when his mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Although she was successfully treated, the cancer returned twice. She underwent treatment a second and third time, and today she is living cancer free and enjoying an active, healthy life. After his very personal experience with his mom, Patrick Dempsey knew that he wanted to make a difference by giving back to the community that helped his mother through her journey with cancer.
With Patrick's financial support and personal commitment, CMMC created the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing. The program is an integral part of cancer care at The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and affiliated cancer clinics at Bridgton and Rumford hospitals. Located on the CMMC campus, the Center provides support, education, and health promotion for those touched by cancer. For more information, we encourage you to visit www.dempseycenter.org.

6th Annual Buddy to Buddy Spring Fashion Show Celebration

The Buddy to Buddy Spring Fashion Show is held as a fundraiser to benefit the Sam & Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center at Central Maine Medical Center.
All proceeds will be used to provide free mammograms to under-insured women.
